Southern California punk rock band Aw Shux delivers two tracks of raw, fast-paced punk rock on this 7-inch vinyl release. Recorded in 2010 at the band's private rehearsal space in Montgomery, Alabama, The American Me! captures the band's independent spirit and stripped-down approach to recording music. With driving guitars, aggressive rhythms, and melodic hardcore influences, these recordings reflect the band's roots in the Southern California punk and skate scene.
Entirely recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced by Aw Shux, this release is a true DIY effort from start to finish. Side A features the title track “The American Me!” while Side B delivers “Punk Shows,” a nod to the underground music scene and the culture that helped shape the band. Both tracks embrace the raw energy and straightforward attitude of independent punk rock without unnecessary studio polish.
A great addition to any underground punk, melodic hardcore, skate punk, or independent vinyl collection.
